Fitted a new Vaillant ecoTEC in Birmingham today. Efficient, quiet, and compact. Solid boiler.

Sorted it out on my lunch break, no messing Right, so I'm a gas engineer, I spend my days crawling under floorboards fitting Worcester boilers, not sat at a chess board. But I saw this knocking about and thought I'd give it a go on my phone during lunch. No download, no sign-up, just straight in as a guest through the browser. That alone gets it points from me, because I can't be doing with apps that want your email address before they'll even show you what you're playing. Picked a game against Sal "The Fork" Marino first and he was giving it the big one from move one. Grandma Gambit had me in stitches and all. It's quick, it's daft, it's the sort of chess where you're laughing at the banter as much as you're thinking about your next move, sort of energy reminds me of how Magnus Carlsen does those rapid blitz formats, personality and pace over formality. The trash talk chat pane next to the board (they call it Lingo) is properly done, not just the same two lines on repeat. 👍 Zero friction, browser, guest, no download, straight in · The bot personalities are genuinely funny, Grandma Gambit especially 👎 Some bits feel half-built, rankings page and clash mode aren't fully there yet ⭐ 7/10 🎮 Chessingo (HyperSonic Games Studio (published by Tyga Games), 2026)
